Many of our guests choose Saxnäs because of the perfect location just north of the Öland Bridge, which connects the island to the mainland. This central location means that you have easy access to the many places of interest on … Öland as well as the mainland, with the beautiful city of Kalmar and the Kingdom of Crystal. Öland has a long holiday season with different options depending on when you wish to visit us. The countryside on Öland is attractive during the spring with migratory birds and unique flowers in a historical setting. During the summer there are lots of events on the island. These usually take place under a clear blue sky, making the expression “an island in the sun” well deserved. September is probably the most beautiful month since it links the sparkling summer with the colourful autumn. An annual harvest festival held at the beginning of October celebrates Öland’s charm. This festival is very popular and is definitely worth a visit. Öland and KronoCamping Saxnäs will make sure that your visit to Öland is a memorable one. Next to our pleasant campsite is Saxnäs golf course, which offers excellent opportunities to play golf. Additionally, as our guest, we offer you the unique opportunity to bring your horse on vacation. You can also go horseback riding at Aledal horseback riding centre. And why not visit Öland’s famous zoo, which is only two kilometres away from us? At KronoCamping Saxnäs there are always activities but if you would like to relax Saxnäs is also the campsite for you.
