Loodsmansduin camping site bears the hallmark of nature. It's located close to Den Hoorn in the middle of National Park Dunes of Texel; very appealing to those who love the great outdoors. The feeling of freedom in the midst of … nature is unique. Sea breezes and characteristic dune and woodland scents stimulate the senses the moment you awaken. The camping site is one big adventure for children. The heath continually changes colour, a pheasant darts past your tent. Nature rules here. Our facilities are centred around the reception. Free as a bird Step beyond the camping site and the expanse of nature is literally at your fingertips. A motley crew of birds, wild horses and Highland cattle populate this unique district. The history of the Den Hoorn region is revealed in all kinds of ways. You need only look at the characteristic village cottages, war bunkers, or the light of a pilot ferry falling on the church of Den Hoorn, which still serves as a beacon for passing vessels. Seen enough? Then why not relax on the beach at Pole 9.

Útvonalak
Directions Loodsmansduin is situated close to Den Hoorn. The camping site is easily accessible by car and public transport. By car Travel to Den Helder via the A7 and/or N9. Directions to the ferry are clearly indicated. Once you disembark … from the boat on Texel, drive straight on through the first set of lights. Follow the Pontweg until the first roundabout (exit 7). Go three-quarters around, taking the Den Hoorn exit. This is the Hoornderweg, which ends in a T-junction. Take the left and immediately the first road to the right (Lage Wegje). Continue to the end, then turn left. The camping site is 300 metres ahead of you. You can also plan your route via www.routenet.nl Enter Loodsmansduin’s address: Rommelpot 19, 1797 RN, Den Hoorn By public transport Take the train to Den Helder. From the station take bus 33 to the ferry. We would advise you to book a Texel Telekomtaxi at the counter in Den Helder. You can also take bus 29 on Texel. Validate your ticket in Den Helder ahead of your journey to Den Hoorn. Alight at the only stop in the village. From there, walk in the direction of the local supermarket on the village square. Turn left into the Herenstraat. After walking for 300 metres (the street name changes to ‘Klif’ at the halfway point), you reach the junction with Rommelpot. Turn left. Loodsmansduin is situated 300 metres further on.
